Reviews and Ratings
The hotel is located close to the castle, making it a great spot for exploring the historical areas nearby. The staff were friendly and attentive to our needs, but the lack of cleanliness and noisy vent in the room could be improved. The dining experience was satisfying overall. The hotel offers good value for those interested in the historical charm of Trim.
My stay at the hotel was absolutely fantastic! The rooms were lovely, comfortable, clean, and spacious. The food served during breakfast and tea time was fantastic with generous portions that were piping hot. The staff, especially Adele at reception and Renell in the restaurant, were incredibly lovely and helpful. However, the rooms could do with a makeover as they seemed a little grubby. Overall, my experience was great as the hotel had everything we needed.
The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of the town center and castle, making it a great spot to explore. The rooms, while spacious, had a tobacco smell as we ended up in the bridal suite, and were quite outdated and basic with thin walls. On the bright side, the neighborhood was peaceful and quiet, ensuring a good night's sleep.
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The family suite was spacious enough for all our belongings, but the room smelled smokey despite being non-smoking and could have used a fresh coat of paint. The service was disappointing compared to a previous stay, and we won't be recommending the hotel. The location was great for exploring Trim but felt a bit outdated. The dining options were limited, with breakfast starting late, but the included Full Irish was decent.
I had a lovely stay at the hotel. The rooms were clean, comfy, and well-appointed, allowing us to unpack and head to the bar for lunch right away. However, the room was much too hot with no way to adjust the temperature. The service was friendly and readily available, but there were some instances of having to explain issues repeatedly. The location was great for walking to the castle and enjoying the local riverside walk, offering superb value and attention to detail. The dining experience had some issues with overcooked food and missing essentials like butter and seasonings, but the tartines were lovely.
